I recently launched, which is an idea I had some years ago and is now reality. I think of the site as a place to store thoughts from your brain for later recall. I’ve been using it myself, and so far I’m happy with it 🙂

Brainarama was also a chance to fully explore some new technologies. I spent over 20 years using Microsoft tools, which I like, and decided to try something new. I read about functional languages/platforms and decided to go down that path. Brainarama is built entirely with Elixir on the back end and Elm on the client, both functional languages which I enjoy using. I also switched from traditional RDMSs and switched to NoSQL storage like Event Store, Cassandra, and Elastic Search. The entire system is built using a CQRS architecture which I love using. I’ll probably be discussing this more in the future.

Most of the posts I had on this blog have been moved to Brainarama. So hopefully all the redirects are working correctly.

So please check it out and let me know what you think.
